How to add a headset button on NEC Level 2, Elite 48/192, IPK
On phone you would like to add a headset button do the following
- Press Feature (FNC)
- Dial 4 on the keypad
- Write down the information that displays on the screen
- On the main programming extension (usually 100 or 101)
- Press Feature (FNC)
- Press Hold
- Dial # 0 * on the keypad
- Press Line Key number 4
- Dial 1 2 on the keypad
- The screen will similar to this:
- 01 / 12 : L 01 = CO 01
Time Display
- 01 / 12 : L 01 = CO 01
- 01 = the port number
- 12 = the program (Program 12 is the program to control feature assigned to the keys on phones)
- L 01 shows the line key that you are programming
- CO 01 shows what is currently programmed on the line key
- Now press Conference (CNF) to advance the port number, you will keep pressing Conference until it shows the port of the phone you would like to program (the port number is the number you found during the first steps)
- Once you have found the correct port number dial on the key pad the number of the button you would like to program ie. Button 1 would be entered as 01 and button 12 would be entered as 12.
- Now your display should show the correct port number first then program 12 followed by the line key that you would like to add a headset button to.
- At this point press line key 11 (if the phone you are programming from does not have 16 line keys then press Recall and then Line key number 3)
- The screen should now show:
- XX / 12 : L NN = HSET
Time Display
- XX / 12 : L NN = HSET
- XX = port of the phone you are programming for a headset
- NN = the line key that you would like to use as a Headset button.
