How to turn off Call Transfer in Voicemail
This applies to all Elite Mail including FMS, VMS VMP and LX, AD-8, 16, 40 and 64
Instructions on how to stop calls from the automated attendant from transferring calls to your telephone phone.
By turning this feature off callers that dial your extension number when listening to the automated attendant will go directly to your voicemail box and will not ring your phone first.
Choose the Setup procedure below that fits you method of using voicemail.
USING SOFTKEYS FRO YOUR VOICEMAIL
- From your desk call voicemail (normally dial 300)
- Press the soft key labeled SETUP
- Press the Soft key for transfer options labeled TRF
- Press the soft key labeled ON/OFF
- Exit your voicemail by hanging up
USING VOICE PROMPTS YES/NO
- From your desk call voicemail (normally dial 300)
- When voicemail answers select the option to Change your setup options
- In the setup options choose the option to change your Transfer and Delivery
- Once in the Transfer and Delivery options, the first option you will hear is "Would you like to change call transfer to your phone.
- Select Yes to change call transfer to your telephone
- The voicemail will then say 'Call Tansfer to your phone is currently on would you like to leave it on." At this point you will press 2 for no then you can exit the voicemail by hanging up.
USING NUMERICAL PROMPTS
- From your desk call voicemail (normally dial 300)
- Select option 7 (setup options)
- Select option 6 (Transfer & Delivery
- Select option 4 (Change Call Transfer)
- Select option 2 (Turn off call transfer)
- Exit voicemail by hanging up
